My first thought: ridiculous. A visual representation of the oxymoron. My second thought: that's creativity. I've never seen hiking boots with 6" heels. What an interesting way to twist a classic design style.
These boots were the catalyst. While Snakes is out in the masses, I'm revamping a book I started while living in Switzerland. It's called The Red Bench and is my first foray into a historical novel. I did a ton of research at the time, and at first was going to set it in contemporary times. But it got twisted on its head yesterday. Thanks, Azzedine.
